Built-ins
Cabinetry that is part of the house
Bookcases, window seats, mantels and pantry cabinets can't go to a shop. We bring the shop's care to your living room.
Built-ins are finished where they stand. We mask the walls and floors, remove shelves and doors to spray or brush them elsewhere, and finish the fixed parts in place. Sheen and color match the trim in the room so the built-in looks like it was always there.
How we work
Shelves and doors finished separately, then refit
Fixed parts masked and finished in place
Color and sheen matched to the room's trim

About built-ins
Built-in questions
How long are my doors gone?
Doors and drawer fronts usually spend five to seven working days in our shop, and a whole kitchen takes one to two weeks from the day we start. Your written scope gives a range for your job, never a promised date.
How do you protect my floors, counters and appliances?
We cover floors, counters and appliances with paper and plastic, mask the walls and keep a HEPA vacuum on the sanders. Doors are finished in the shop, away from your kitchen.
What about odor, children and pets?
Doors cure away from your home, which keeps most of the odor in the shop. For the products themselves, ask for the product data sheet and your pediatrician or veterinarian; we don't make claims the label doesn't.
What is on your written estimate?
The number of doors, drawer fronts and boxes, the repairs, the primer and finish with sheen, the colors, the hardware plan, the schedule, the payment schedule and the warranty. If a line isn't there, it isn't included.
